## Start Remote Control session

### Important

With Remote Control, the Fotokite system can be easily controlled remotely via the Internet. Remote Control enables EVLOS (extended visual line of sight) and BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight) operations. Learn more in [General Information](/system-profile/remote-livestream/general-information.md#remote-control).

{% hint style="danger" %}
EVLOS and BVLOS operations are subject to authorization in most countries. To ensure compliance, operators must check the official aviation authority or relevant governmental agency's website for the latest updates. Local regulations may vary. It is the operator's responsibility to adhere to current rules.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Remote Control is disabled by default and has to enabled by the user in Fotokite Live for every new Livestream session.
{% endhint %}

### Remote Control

If successfully authenticated, the system can be remotely controlled. The following features are supported:

<img src="/files/YUB2xwSLyEaO3PueRi9O" alt="Livestream Player" data-size="original">

* Altimeter: Start and land the Kite, set the altitude.
* Joystick: Control the heading of the Kite
* Zoom Control Interface: Control the zoom level of the Color Camera with predefined zoom steps.
* Double Tap: To center the camera on a specific location, simply double-tap on the desired point of interest on the screen. This will prompt the Kite to automatically adjust the camera's position accordingly.

<img src="/files/JABb2TUiyfV2hsrnJKvU" alt="Remote Control User" data-size="original">

In Fotokite Live, the remote control user is now visible and can be removed if needed. As a remote control user can control the system, Fotokite Live will always keep and stay in control at the same time.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### End Remote Control&#x20;

The streaming session will end if the remote control user is removed or the stream is stopped in Fotokite Live or no streaming happens for at least 30 minutes (system is powered off or loses internet connection).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://manual.fotokite.com/fotokite-live-walkthrough/remote-livestream-and-remote-control.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
